Republicans within the US Senate have blocked a invoice that might have allowed for extra funding for Ukraine on Wednesday.
Most GOP legislators voted in opposition to the invoice, in response to the Hill. Democrats Ed Markey, Bob Menendez, Alex Padilla and Elizabeth Warren, in addition to Bernie Sanders – an impartial from Vermont – joined the Republicans who refused to again the laws.
The $118 billion bundle included $60 billion in army help for Ukraine and $14 billion in army help for Israel.
The invoice was touted by Biden as a compromise with the Republicans who’ve been refusing to greenlight extra money for Ukraine until the president agrees to a complete border safety and immigration reform.
